Film and Philosophy (PHIL 390H.001)
Instructor: David Reeve. This course meets Wednesdays from 3:00 – 5:30 PM in Caldwell 105.
This year we’ll be thinking and writing about films ( and possibly operas, works of fiction, and works of philosophy) that deal with good and/or evil. Each week we look at a film together and then discuss it. The films we’ll be watching will probably include, Mouchette, Happiness, The Celebration,The Lives of Others, The Kid With a Bike, Four Minutes, The Piano Teacher, The White Ribbon, and Antichrist.
This course does not satisfy any general education requirements.
